At the age of 20, Dr. Jani saw a five year old girl who had no prescription in her right eye and -10 in her left eye. She had been informed by high ranking ophthalmologists in India that she had a lazy eye and there was no solution. Upon investigation, Dr. Jani advised Occlusion Therapy. Although her parents were skeptical of the treatment plan, and received a second opinion from America, they agreed to try the treatment plan. After some time, her eye began to improve from the -10 to becoming 20/20 in both eyes. After a few years the girl reached out to Dr. Jani through social media and they reconnected. To this day, any time she has any optical issue she will reach out to her Preeti Aunty for help, even though she now lives in America and Dr. Jani in Canada.
